  1. 2021

    A closer look at specific microbes.

    In 2021, Realize began exploring specific microorganisms and microbial formulations across different areas of human health. This early research, in collaboration with William Davis, MD, led to an early focus on L. reuteri.

    William Davis, MD, joined Realize Therapeutics and served as Chief Medical Officer from 2021 until 2026.

  2. 2022

    Gut to Glow® launches.

    In July 2022, Realize brought its first microbe-based consumer product to market: Gut to Glow®, a 4-in-1 Microbiome Beauty Complex built around the proprietary LRDR™ L. reuteri strain. Gut to Glow® has since been evaluated as a complete formulation in multiple human trials.

  3. Looking beyond digestion.

    Rather than focusing on generic probiotics with well-known digestive benefits, Oxiceutics’ early work centered on L. reuteri and the different applications to support how you live, look, and feel.

  4. 2024

    MyReuteri®

    MyReuteri® made LRDR™ L. reuteri available as a single-strain probiotic—in a daily capsule made for your routine.

  5. 2025

    Into the kitchen, and beyond.

    MyReuteri® Starter made it possible to make cultured dairy with LRDR™ L. reuteri at home. MyCrispatus® + and new formulations broadened the range beyond a single strain.

  6. Today

    A broader focus.

    Today, that early work has become the foundation for what comes next: further research into L. reuteri, more products made to fit your routine, and new collaborations exploring what microbiome science can do for specific areas of human health.

Our Collaboration with Dr. William Davis.

In 2021, William Davis, MD, joined Realize as Chief Medical Officer. He brought clinical perspective, microbiome thinking and product-development input to the company's first major microbiome work.

His collaboration with Realize contributed to the early Oxiceutics® products, to research involving L. reuteri, and to the development of the proprietary LRDR™ strain.
