MyCrispatus™ with L. Reuteri. MyCrispatus™ formulation combines Lactobacillus crispatus and Lactobacillus reuteri LRDR probiotics plus hyaluronic acid. Normally naturally occurring in the gut microbiomes of animals and free-living humans, many modern people have lost these keystone Lactobacillus species that are important for the vaginal microbiome.

MyCrispatus Formulation
Based on the science of gut-health and vaginal-health, doctor-developed MyCrispatus is formulated with L. Crispatus, LRDR L. Reuteri and Hyaluronic Acid.

Lactobacillus Crispatus
MyCrispatus includes Lactobacillus crispatus, which is the dominant species in the healthy vaginal microbiome. Restoring L. crispatus can be life-changing for vaginal, urinary, reproductive, and menopausal health.*

Lactobacillus Reuteri LRDR™
Our proprietary LRDR™ strain of Lactobacillus reuteri provides an important microbe that the great majority are missing in their gut. This microbe not only resides in the colon but also the upper GI tract. Daily incorporation of L. reuteri LRDR™ helps you support gut health and gut balance.*

Hyaluronic Acid
Our Hyaluronic Acid taken orally supports skin hydration and the hyaluronic content in the dermal layer.
MyCrispatus FAQs
Product Information
MyCrispatus is an oral probiotic formulation designed to support vaginal, reproductive, and menopausal health, MyCrispatus contains two keystone probiotic microbes, Lactobacillus crispatus and Lactobacillus reuteri, combined with hyaluronic acid in small, vegetarian orally-consumed capsules.
Lactobacillus crispatus, or L. crispatus, is the dominant species in the healthy vaginal microbiome. The vaginal microbiome is much simpler with fewer species compared to the enormous variety found in the gastrointestinal microbiome. Unfortunately, many modern women have lost this microbe due to exposure to antibiotics and other factors. L. crispatus supports vaginal, urinary, reproductive, and menopausal health.
Hyaluronic acid has moisture-retaining properties that make it useful in the dermal layer of skin, thus reducing skin wrinkles. That same property makes it useful for moisture retention in the vaginal lining, especially since the uterus, cervix, and vagina normally contain significant quantities of hyaluronic acid. As a woman ages, moisture retention diminishes. Oral hyaluronic acid supplementation can help.
L. reuteri adds to L. crispatus’ effects on restoring the vaginal epithelium and increasing moisture and sensation. The vaginal moisturizing effect synergizes when combined with hyaluronic acid. Taken orally. L. reuteri is also a major player in restoring an improved gastrointestinal microbiome through its capacity to colonize the entire length of the gastrointestinal tract.
Surprisingly, using L. crispatus to make a cultured dairy superfood is quite easy. Ferment as you would most of our other human body temperature-fermenting microbes: 36 hours at 100° F, 37° C with the addition of one tablespoon of inulin, and full-fat half and half dairy.
Within days, MyCrispatus begins restoring L. crispatus, L. reuteri, and hyaluronic acid, with effects increasing over weeks to months as beneficial changes in the vaginal microbiome and gastrointestinal microbiome develop.
Both microbes are susceptible to common antibiotics that you may have taken recently or many years ago. According to the Centers for Disease Control, CDC, most American adults have taken over 30 courses of antibiotics by age 40. Other factors such as herbicide and pesticide exposure from food, emulsifying agents and preservatives, and many other factors have likely played a role in disrupting both the gastrointestinal and vaginal microbiomes. The best evidence tells us that approximately one-third of all modern females have lost L. crispatus from their vaginal microbiomes (increasingly declining with age) and nearly all women have lost L. reuteri from all body sites.
There are a growing number of vaginal microbiome testing kits such as Evvy and Tiny Health that will identify the presence of L. crispatus and other microbes. Likewise, there are many gastrointestinal testing services such as Ombre and Tiny Health that provide a comprehensive assessment if a stool specimen is submitted.
MyCrispatus supports multiple aspects of sexual function including vaginal health, the composition of the vaginal microbiome, and also supports reproductive, and menopausal health.*
The evidence here is preliminary but intercourse with your husband or other male partner will pass L. crispatus onto him with various potential benefits.
In the area of female vaginal, reproductive, and menopausal health, MyCrispatus provides L. crispatus with the additional benefits of L. reuteri, a major player in female reproductive health, with the important fiber-based non-microbial nutrient hyaluronic acid, a major component of the female genital tract. Hyaluronic acid is metabolized by gut bacteria.
Yes, absolutely. This will increase your exposure to the beneficial microbe, L. reuteri, if you also take Gut to Glow or MyReuteri. The additional components of Gut to Glow—marine-sourced collagen peptides and the carotenoid astaxanthin — will add more skin benefits. And, because we don’t know what the ideal intake of hyaluronic acid is, the additional hyaluronic acid of Gut to Glow may further increase the benefits of this important fiber that not only yields skin benefits but also acts as a fiber in the gastrointestinal tract to support the bloom of important microbial species.
No upper limit of intake has yet been established, but we do not know if additional benefits develop at higher intakes above 40 billion CFUs per day.
While L. crispatus is a known and beneficial inhabitant of a healthy female vaginal microbiome, the entire contents of the formulation have not been tested for intravaginal administration. This is therefore not advised.
Safe and widely used in supplements, medicines and foods, a small amount of magnesium stearate is included to facilitate consistency in the production process.
